Sochi bashing started around 2007 when Russia won the winter Olympic games and started to build the necessary infrastructure in the famed Black Sea resort.
Even back then, there was talk of the disorganisation and corruption in Sochi, which would undoubtedly plague their efforts. From there, it’s descended in to its current state – Twitter feeds clogged with mishaps. Endless, though justifiable, concerns about security, viral photos of double toilets, dirty tap water and stray dogs being exterminated.
The Sochi bashing hasn’t stopped.
