MARILYN MONROE: SUPERSTAR IN TRAINING
A rare collection of photographs of Marilyn Monroe – originally sent to the editor of TIME’s LIFE Magazine in 1949 – has surfaced.
Taken as she trained with singing, acting and dancing coaches, the images show a confident, bright-eyed star in the making.
Though the photographer, J.R. Eyerman was not immediately blown away by the then little-known actress, LIFE suggests that he must have seen something in her, some spark of potential that led him to capture the soon-to-be superstar as she practised.

Like the late Princess Diana, Marilyn had a love affair with the camera , and never took a bad shot. No mattter what was going on in her life, she always looked totally beautiful. Thanks for the pics – she is always great to look at.

Marilyn seems to have little “enhancements” no, modern day Botox, even little makes up in these photos- she is the essence of potential and optimism- that is what sets her apart in these shots- as opposed to today’s artificial Botoxed surgery enhanced- photo shopped, modern day- ” Marilyn Wannabees”.
