• Quite funny considering NZ has legalised same sex marriage, perhaps they should have tied the knot first and said they were on their honeymoon, the Ruskin's may have welcomed them with a bottle of fine wine and a chocolate under their pillow instead of turning them away. In their line of business you would think that they wouldn't discriminate. Perhaps they should also turn away all those heterosexual unfaithful couples who play the straight married couple so well. That would probably cut a nice chunk from their yearly profit. - Lisa
  • ...and on that note, I have felt pain when someone says they have gone through pain for me...(when I don't want that). - ro.watson
  • I do not get why women (and other people) wax? I like body hair. I like sensation? I do not like pain. - ro.watson
  • Lets not take this too seriously ! I mean, playing around with makeup , colouring our hair and shaving our legs isn't quite in the same category as tight-lacing of corsets ! - Stella Burnell
  • Eyelash tinting is so painful - I couldn't see for a while when they finally washed off tint. Not happening again. - Ann-Maree
  • I'd be worried about what Mr. & Mrs. Ruskin are getting up to. Weirdo's like this are the type that keep sex slaves. No I won't be staying with them. - Sandy
  • born to rule and know our place for the spelling checkers here. - sully of hay
  • well they are bornn to rule, we should no our place and be happy with the crumbs from the table. the australian people will fall for the con again and again. - sully of hay
  • How gorgeous. On Sunday I heard an Australian woman tell of how, inter alia, she had contributed to this garden with a native bee shelter/ sculpture...Anyway it all looks beautiful~ and I gather PJ is earnest in his water integration ideas. - ro.watson
  • I'd say the lack of respect comes from someone who thinks it's a good idea to have a go at their children in a public forum. The author, in essence, calls her adult children cheap, rude, uncommunicative, likely to leave debts unpaid and bad mannered. All of which may be true, I wouldn't know, but to air it in public seems to me to be a better example of disrespect and a lack of manners than my brief comment. - Sly Place

Read these over at Amazon, still laughing at “the penis mightier than the sword…” Good lord, do we really need dainty pink and purple pens? Haven’t these people heard of Twitter and tablets, or even “unisex”. The cynic in me can’t help wondering if the reviews were generated by the makers to create precisely the PR buzz they’ve achieved.

Oh my freaking giddy aunt. Am standing in our Pop Up shop and just burst out laughing a little too raucously but in a very feminine Bic like way of course. I bet who ever thought of this amazing advancement for women everywhere dots his “i’s” with a love heart.

I’m not sure why everyone is being so nasty. I think these pens look alright. I only wish they had matching ink inside, instead of just black. I hate writing in black. I guess I’m just a really girly girl and prefer to write in pink and purple or my favourite, turquoise blue. Sometimes I think people get way to over the top about being PC.

At least it would stop my all-male family from pinching my pens all the freakin time. Each to their own. I would recommend not buying them if you do not like the colour…

Bic is simply trying to corner a market, which, after two years working in a stationery store, I know already exists. Truth is women like to buy pretty things in stationery shops, and the more feminine the product is the easier it is for the ladies to hold onto them, especially if they are working with men who live their entire lives in stubbies, bluies and gravel dust. That said, it seems fairly ridiculous to brand them ‘for hers’ when the pens could have been produced and still get the market they were after without making them gender specific.
Personally I prefer .7 Uni ball jet stream black pens, or Artline .5 felt-tips, both of which could be argued look quite masculine, but that doesn’t put me off buying them.

Lord love a duck. I just want a pen that writes easily and without a stop. Couldn’t care what colour, shape or provenance.
